Who is Women Empowering Women?

We are women whose lives have been affected by addiction and have benefited from the loving support of community.

Women Empowering Women in Recovery, Inc. 501(c)(3)

Founded by a group of women whose lives have been affected by addiction and have benefited from the loving support of community throughout the recovery process.

Amanda Marino, the founder of Women Empowering Women in Recovery wanted to honor the life of her childhood friend, Kim Kinkle, whose life was taken by the disease of addiction. With the help of others in the recovery community, the idea to honor Kim has since blossomed into an inspirational gathering of recovered women working to make a difference in young women’s lives by providing financial support to obtain an education that would otherwise not be possible.

How we empower

Every year, our organization hosts The Annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon, our annual event to present our scholarship awards to young women in recovery. This seminal event is the culmination of our donations to the young women who have applied for our scholarship for further education. Find out more about our scholarships here

We also have multiple event each year that gather and connect like minded professionals:

Empowerment Luncheons. Held 5 times per year in February, April, June August & December. Our regularly scheduled Professional Development luncheon provides an excellent opportunity to network in the recovery community.

Fashion Show Our fashion show event is open to all to join and engages women to connect around a common theme.

Round Table Discussions Our round table discussions also have more economic sponsorship opportunities for your business or cause.

Scholarship Giveaways The scholarship giveaway event brings some of our largest crowds as we bring in our chosen scholarship recipients and celebrate their new found opportunity.
